Editing Monitored Assessment Options

This page will demonstrate how to edit monitored assessment options.

Change the default school grading, pacing, and assessments (GPA) and weighting settings. When changed, a school GPA and weighting setting, the related enrollment settings at the individual student level and enrollment level will also be changing. Changes at the individual student level and course enrollment will occur if the individual student or course enrollment does NOT have personalized enrollment settings.

With the permission, users can modify Monitored Assessment options for individual students and for individual courses for students at a later time. Grading and Pacing Options should be set to reflect expectations for the general population.


To personalize the grading, pacing, and grade weights settings, the "Change Pacing, Grading, and Assessments" permission is required. 


  1. Click School Settings.
  2. Click Grading, Pacing, and Assessments.
  3. To enable or disable Monitored Assessments settings to prevent students from accessing assessments without teacher approval, select or deselect the checkboxes.
  4. Click Save.
